A week ago I returned from both leisure yet at times, photographic work in Andalucia, Spain. A fabulous place visually and in May, the colours of the wildlife and nature there are truly amazing! I manage, amongst other places, to visit and photograph the wonderful El Chorro, a mighty sight to be reckoned with on approach - a magnificent and mystical place. At the side of the dam, dying trees adorn the water which made me think about Dali and where he may've got some of his inspirations from.
Ansel Adams, one of the true environmentalists with regards to conserving and recording the natural environments I feel, would not be happy with the fracking situation in the world. I have started to document the FrackFree Nottingham's collectivism and held a mini pop up exhibition is support of the good work that is being done out there in the name of environmentalism and preservation of a diminishing natural world. For me, the natural world is key to our very core and being, without this, or with risk to this, what then do we have left? It is a sacred part of our very existence.
