March is almost here and it seems ages since I updated my blog on here, although I have been updating my Twitter, Instagram, Facebook. Lots has been happening over the past few months and many exciting times ahead.
Backlit, the gallery I'm an associate member with, has recently been at Tate Modern in London for their partnership exchange of which I helped observe Bethlem Museum of the Mind's art activity whilst there, for more information about the fabulous work being done, see Bethlem Museum of the Mind. I had a fabulous time in London also visiting the Nature Morte exhibition at Guildhall Art Gallery, walking along the Thames from St Paul's and visiting an amazing oasis churchyard ruin in the east for some inspirational photographing. May I am currently thinking about new ideas and experimentation towards this year's collaboration for Creative Reactions where I have been paired up with a Professor of Bioscience - Plant Pathology, the work will be exhibited in Nottingham mid May. June 2nd and 3rd is the ABC Art Trail 2018, again, I will be exhibiting and selling work in the beautfiul newly refurbished reception at Beeston Dental Practice. Ongoing, I am working on a collective project with Beeston Snappers - a local group of women I teach, whereby we are photographing traditional artisans in their settings - I will be photographing a glass artist/blower, a permaculturist - artist and a ceramicist. Collectively we are photographing Violin Makers, a Shoemaker and Beekeepers. We will be exhibiting the work towards the end of summer - Autumn /September. Watch this space!
