Looking out from behind - A small hideaway/space in nature is like a dream come true for me. I am using this space as a way to engage with nature both artistically, spiritually and environmetally. From a photography angle, I will be documenting many aspects of the 'Hideaway' - my interraction with it, the nature around the space, the changing of space, my ongoing renovation of the space, using the space as a studio.. and that's just the start! So far, I have managed to spend some good and productive hours there for most of the above but realised that I need to start documenting it and now!
From a spiritual angle, I have noticed that on leaving the train on my arrival to the Nature's Hideaway, walking up the long pathway, a huge sense of positivity and lightness engulfs me, it's as though there is a real sense of warmth and welcoming when walking in and alongside greenery, fresh air and trees. Even the smell of air changes part way into the journey on the train as I travel to my destination, the senses come alive in a very different way...
