I was approached by the lovely Matt, who wanted to interview me for my local town's cultural publication and website 'The Beestonian'. It was a great opportunity in many ways, because it made me really stop and think about how my life has changed over the past 4 years or so with regards to photography. Here's a link to part of the article with the interview to follow at a later date. Thanks to The Beestonian for asking me to take part in this.
https://www.facebook.com/TheBeestonian/posts/675947592527887 I am looking forward to a lunch this week with some of the artists and curators from The Web of Water exhibition. We will be collecting our work from the exhibition and sharing thoughts. It's mad to think that this work has been touring for over a year and it is now coming home to rest. I am starting to really think that I need to think about finding a physical space to both store my work but also to maybe work from at times. Thursday night I have organised our 2nd art fair at The White Wall Gallery - The White Lion bar and kitchen. I will be selling a range of prints and cards with a spring theme but also a few subversions from this. I am also planning to exhibit and maybe sell some of my work at the FOUND event at 35 Gamble on 4th April. More to follow on this nearer the date. Things are hotting up for Open Studios Notts at the end of May - 2 days of art in my local town and around Nottinghamshire. I am exhibiting some work as part our local open studios art trail, my work will be viewable at The White Lion Bar, Beeston. Tomorrow I will be off on an adventure to Derbyshire to one of my favourite forests for both walking and photographing, can't wait to get back to this place to enjoy and hopefully create some new photographic pieces. I love this place so much, there is some thing very spacial about it, the atmosphere, the silence and the calm..it is one of the places I always go to for spiritually connecting with nature..
